MAC Fluidline (Blacktrack) Eye Liner

I have only started to use eyeliner only about half a year ago. In the past, I alwayz wonder "What is the fascination with eyeliner???" Especially when you look at those "overly" lined eyes. And of course, my concern have alwayz been that it will smudged badly. I mean, mascaras that boast to be waterproof or smudgeproof SMUDGED on me. Let alone eyeliner, which is to be lined as close to lashline as possible to be good.

But when I start to realize how great my cousin's eyes look with the alwayz very black eyeliner, and after I overheard her mentioned how waterproof and smudgeproof this eyeliner is, I cannot resist the urge to ask her what brand is it and where can I get it. :) I mean, if it can survive a swim in a swimming pool and come out intact, it is GOOD right! Besides, you would really be surprised at how much of a difference lining your eyes can be. Bigger and more defined immediately.

So that is when I discover the MAC Fluidline. And with that, I discover another bonus point for this particular eyeliner. It is easier to apply than the liquid ones, or the pencil ones. At least for me. The application of this liner is done using a brush. Either a fine tip one (like liquid eyeliner) or flat angled one. (see picture)

Of course, it does not have to be a MAC brush, I bought mine from SASA at SGD$4.90.
It is something I cannot do without now, and one pot can last very long. Very long indeed.

MAC Fluidline: SGD$27.00
available in many different colors.

FANCL Stick Concealer

For someone like me who is suffering from an outbreak of adult acne (argh, all caused by stress and depression) which left red, ugly scars easily on my face, it is alwayz an ordeal to find a good concealer to hide the scars.

Well, of course everyone knows that concealing it is not a long term solution. And of coz I am seeking active remedies to curb the adult acne outbreak. Meanwhile, as the medicines are taking their time to heal, one can't expect me to go out with cheeks that is covered with red, ugly patches right. :(

Before I left for Vietnam, I went to FANCL to stock up on my Mild Cleansing Oil. While browsing through the store, I came across the stick concealer and decided to buy it on impulse.

It's a good impulse I must say. :)

FANCL advocates preservative-free products. That is, all their products contains no preservatives. Which can be a good thing and bad thing depending on how you see it.

Good being well, natural things can't really cause much reactions to your skin right. Bad being, well, no preservative means it can't last long, and means it expire fast.

For most of FANCL's cosmetics, the expiry duration is normally 1 year after opening. Don't ask me what will happen if you continue to use it after 1 yr, I've never tried before. :) But imagine eating some food that is past its expiry date after a while.

Anyway, that is just one thing about this concealer, at least I know it would not irritate my already irritated-angry-acne-filled face.

It is easy to blend it into my skin. If I find it a hassle to dab it over my scars, I will just swipe a few streaks over my scars and then blend it using my fingers. (What can one do when one have a LARGE area to cover? Sigh. )

Most importantly, it covers up the redness effortlessly. Which says alot about its coverage. :) I like it. ZA concealer used to be good enough for my slight pimples here and there. But now, it is no longer effective enough to cover up the consequences of my latest outbreak.

It can be used under the eyes to cover up dark circles too. Make sure you hydrate your eye area well with an appropriate eye cream before you use the concealer under the eyes and it shouldn't cause creasing or streaking due to dryness.

One thing about it though, is that the casing and the concealer is sold separately. Yes. The blue casing you see above, is sold separately. The silver casing that slots into the blue casing contains the concealer, and is refillable. So price might be a consideration for some.

Casing: SGD$14.00
Concealer (refill): SGD$25.00
But for the coverage and the preservative-free ingredients, I can say I do not mind paying abit more for it. (At least for the first time)

Eyez are the windows to the soul

And so they say.

I've alwayz known that blogging is a long term commitment. That is if you are really intending to blog. Of course, being who I am, unless I am sure I can do it well, normally I wouldn't take such risk.

So what prompt me to accept my Vietnam's assignment? I really don't know. And since I have no room for regrets (and thus turn tail and run back immediatey), so I might as well try to achieve some value-added activities in my dissatisfied life.

For someone that reads as much forums, who love to suck up knowledge like a large sponge, who loves everything pretty and gorgeous (that is if they look like that on me only), my friends alwayz ask me for advice, comments, opinions on lots of things/stuff. Of coz, if I didn't know anything about it then, I will make it a point to find out what I can about it.

I am someone who takes security in KNOWLEDGE.

Selfish right, if I did not share what I gleaned.
Maybe that is why I am suffering from the strings of bad luck and setbacks and sorrows and misfortunes. (And so I am linking it). :)
I am not a person who reveals my inner thoughts to public, at least THOSE really inner thoughts, so the purpose of this blog is not a diary. I will try to consolidate all knowledge (aka, beauty tips, beauty products, beauty whatever, and of coz some other miscellaneous stuff) that I think is relevant and useful (of coz, as again, using myself as a base to measure relevance and usefulness) here.

Hopefully, it will not end up as the numerous projects that I have undertake in the past, neglected and forgetten in the name of work (and laziness).

Bottomline, I am someone who craves recognition. Hee~ If I feel that it is worth it and help satisfy my craving, I will be putting my efforts into it. No doubt.

And now, what is my first official post going to be about? :)
Off to Flowerpod or Cozycot to take a look.
